Department of Information Technology, University of Turku is organizing a DELTA Workshop from November 16 – November 17, 2015. DELTA is a national doctoral training network, with distributed funding by the participating universities. The network organizes student workshops, summer and winter schools, visiting lectures, and supports its students in participating such events and conferences. The participating students can earn 1 ECTS points after successful completion of this workshop. This workshop has proposed 2 keynote speakers, 30 oral presentations and 20 poster presentations. The students Lunch coupons will be provided at the workshop venue.

2. Dr. Amir Mohammad Rahmani, Department of Information Technology, University of Turku, Finland (Nov 17), Topic: Internet-of-Things for Healthcare: Smart Architecture, Applications, and Microsystems

Who should attend
Masters and doctoral students from DELTA participating instutions, Åbo Academy Universiy Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), and any other Nordic Country Universities are encouraged to register for this autumn workshop.

What to bring
The students are required to bring either 20 minutes presentation slides (ppt or pdf) or hard copy poster (36 inch X 48 inch) on any of the workshop topics. The soft-copy of the presentation slides (ppt or pdf) should be sent to the contact person by email on or before 3rd November, 2015. For those students who present their posters, they should also send the title of the poster presentation to the contact person on or before 3rd November.

Student registration
Students should register by sending an email to rajkan@utu.fi and the subject of the email is “Autumn Workshop Registration 2015”. Students should clearly write their name, university, and the workshop theme for which they want to register. Students wishing to receive travel support from their own university should cc the local DELTA representative (antti.raisanen@aalto.fi, jari.nurmi@tut.fi, timo.rahkonen@ee.oulu.fi, or tapani.e.ristaniemi@jyu.fi). The students need to register before 3rd November, 2015. Final Program schedule will be sent on 7th November. There will be a dinner in the evening of the first workshop day, details to be provided in the final program schedule.
